BRINGS BAROQUE TO ANKARA AUDIENCES
The Bilkent
Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is offering a musical feast to Ankarans through the most
distinguished pieces of Baroque music on Saturday. Under the Batons of Maestro Emil
Tabakov, the orchestra will perform Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos No. 3 in G Major and
No. 4 in G Major BWV 1049 and Handel’s “Wate Music.” Distinguished Bulgarian
composer Emil Tabakov graduated in 1974 from the Bulgarian State Music Academy in
conducting and double-bass. Tabakov is well known worldwide from his tours with the Sofia
Philharmonic Orchestra and as guest conductor with orchestras in Germany, Britain,
Denmark, Sweden, Poland, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, the
United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Brazil, Israel,
the Netherlands and other countries. Tickets for the concert, which will be held this
Saturday at 8 p.m., are available at Dost Kitabevi (Kızılay, Kavaklıdere, and Ankuva),
